edgeX (EDGE) is a high-performance, order book-based decentralized perpetual contract exchange (Perp DEX), incubated by Amber Group. It aims to create a professional derivatives trading platform that combines the efficiency of centralized exchanges with on-chain transparency. The core of the project is to achieve a low-latency, high-liquidity trading experience through a high-throughput matching engine and on-chain settlement mechanism, while ensuring user asset self-custody and verifiability. In terms of technical architecture, edgeX combines off-chain matching with on-chain clearing, and introduces solutions such as zero-knowledge proofs to enhance performance and security. The overall experience is close to that of a CEX but without requiring a trusted intermediary. The core team members mostly come from traditional quantitative trading and crypto market-making fields, possessing rich experience in derivatives trading and system architecture.
