The CoinW Strategy Hub brings together various trading strategies—such as Selected Smart Investment, Futures Grid, Futures Martingale, Futures Combo, Spot Grid, and Signal Trading. Users can evaluate and select strategies that meet their needs by reviewing information such as strategy performance, historical returns, risk metrics, drawdown, and trading history.
Once a user initiates a copy-trade, the system automatically executes trades based on the instructions issued by the selected strategy. Some strategies also support referral profit-sharing; users can recommend strategies to others via exclusive links and earn a share of the profits upon meeting specific conditions.
Investment thresholds, operational mechanisms, settlement cycles, and profit-sharing ratios vary by strategy; please refer to the specific rules displayed on the strategy details page and the strategy creation page.
Factors such as market volatility, liquidity, slippage, and minimum order quantities may cause discrepancies between the actual execution prices/returns in a user's account and the data displayed for the strategy. Past performance does not guarantee future returns; users should carefully select strategies based on their own risk tolerance.
The CoinW Strategy Hub offers a variety of strategies, including Spot Grid, Futures Grid, Futures Martingale, and Selected Smart Investment. Users can view data such as strategy returns, runtime, drawdown, and the number of followers, then select and copy strategies that suit their needs.
Different strategies employ different profit-sharing methods:
Spot Grid, Futures Grid, Futures Martingale: Profit-sharing is calculated based on the total strategy return at the moment the strategy is stopped.
Selected Smart Investment: Uses a "high-water mark" mechanism; profit-sharing applies only to new profits that exceed the historical high-water mark.
Specific profit-sharing ratios are subject to the details displayed on the strategy card, strategy details page, and copy confirmation page.
Please note: Historical strategy performance does not guarantee future returns. Strategy trading carries the risk of loss; contract strategies, in particular, may result in significant losses due to leverage and market volatility.
I. What is strategy profit sharing?
Strategy profit sharing occurs when a user copies a strategy and generates qualifying profits; the system then calculates the corresponding performance-based profit share from those profits, based on the ratio displayed on the page.
Profit sharing is calculated solely based on qualifying profits and is not deducted directly from the user's invested principal.
The profit ultimately retained by the user is:
User-retained profit = Qualifying profit − Profit share amount
Different strategies involve different profit-sharing recipients, calculation bases, and settlement times; therefore, a single set of rules cannot be applied to all of them.
II. Which strategies support profit sharing?
Currently, the products in the Strategy Marketplace that involve profit sharing primarily include:
Not all strategies in the Strategy Marketplace necessarily feature profit sharing. Users should refer to the specific profit-sharing ratio displayed on the strategy page.
III. How to start the referral profit-sharing program?
1. Log in to CoinW, navigate to the "Strategy Marketplace," and select a strategy marked with the "Referral Profit Sharing" label.
2. Click "Share" on the strategy card to send your exclusive link, referral code, or poster to friends.
3. A referral is considered successful if a friend accesses the platform via your shared link and copies and runs the strategy within 7 days.
Step 1: Log in to your CoinW account
Visit the official CoinW website, log in to your account, and navigate to "Strategy" > "Strategy Hall."
In the Strategy Hall, switch to the "Recommended Profit-Sharing" category to view strategies that currently support referral rewards. Each strategy displays information such as yield, runtime, maximum drawdown, trading frequency, and the profit-sharing ratio; you can make your selection based on these metrics.
Step 2: Select a strategy to recommend
Click on a strategy card to enter the strategy details page.
Historical returns reflect past performance only and do not guarantee similar results in the future.
Step 3: Generate exclusive sharing content
After selecting a strategy, click the "Share" (referral) icon in the top-right corner of the strategy card to generate your exclusive referral content. The platform typically supports the following sharing methods:
Copying your exclusive referral link;
Sharing your referral code;
Generating and saving a referral poster;
Sharing directly to Telegram and X;
Please ensure your friends access the strategy page via your exclusive link, referral code, or poster; otherwise, the system may fail to recognize the referral relationship.
Step 4: Invite friends to copy the strategy
Once your friends open your exclusive sharing link, they can view the strategy details and decide whether to copy and run the strategy based on their own circumstances.
Your friend needs to complete the following steps:
1. Log in to or register for a CoinW account;
2. Access the strategy details page you shared;
3. Review the strategy data and risk disclosure;
4. Click "Copy";
5. Configure parameters such as investment amount, take-profit, and stop-loss;
6. Confirm creation and start running the strategy.
According to current CoinW rules, the referral is considered successful only if your friend completes the "follow" or "copy" action within the validity period after clicking the shared link. Published rules indicate a validity period of 30 days.
Step 5: Receive referral profit sharing
Once the referral relationship is established, if the strategy followed by your friend generates a profit, the platform will issue a referral reward to you based on a predetermined ratio derived from the strategy's profit-sharing pool.
Referral profit sharing is subject to the following conditions:
The friend accesses the platform via your exclusive referral link;
The friend successfully copies and runs the strategy within the specified timeframe;
The referral relationship is successfully recorded by the system;
The strategy followed by the friend generates a settleable profit;
The strategy creator has set a valid referral profit-sharing ratio;
Account and trading activities comply with platform rules.
If the friend's strategy does not generate a profit, referral profit sharing typically does not apply.
IV. How is profit shared for Spot Grid, Futures Grid, and Futures Martingale strategies?
Spot Grid, Futures Grid, and Futures Martingale strategies utilize the same basic profit-sharing method:
When a strategy is stopped, the system calculates the profit share based on the strategy's total profit at that moment.
1. How is the profit share calculated?
The calculation method is:
Profit share amount = Total profit at strategy stoppage × Profit-sharing ratio
User's retained profit = Total profit at strategy stoppage − Profit share amount
Here, "total strategy profit" refers to the overall profit calculated by the system when the strategy stops; it is not limited to just the realized grid profits.
For Futures Grid and Futures Martingale, the total profit is calculated by aggregating items such as strategy PnL, trading fees, and funding fees; the final figure is based on the system's settlement records.
2. Profit-sharing calculation example
Assumptions:
A user follows a Spot Grid strategy;
The total profit at the time the strategy stops is 100 USDT;
The profit-sharing ratio displayed on the strategy page is 20%.
The profit share amount is:
100 × 20% = 20 USDT
The user's retained profit is:
100 − 20 = 80 USDT
Futures Grid and Futures Martingale use the same calculation logic.
3. Under what circumstances is settlement triggered?
The following situations may cause the strategy to stop and trigger profit-sharing settlement:
The strategy creator stops the original strategy;
The follower manually stops the strategy;
The strategy triggers a take-profit or stop-loss;
The strategy terminates due to other system rules.
Whether the strategy is stopped by the creator or the follower, the system settles based on the actual total strategy profit at the time of stopping.
4. Is profit sharing charged when the strategy incurs a loss?
No.
If the total profit at the time the strategy stops is less than or equal to 0, there is no profit to share, and the system will not charge a performance-based profit share.
5. Is a high-water mark mechanism used?
No.
Spot Grid, Futures Grid, and Futures Martingale strategies calculate profit sharing based on the total profit at the time the strategy stops; the high-water mark rules applicable to "Gold-Selected Smart Invest" do not apply to them.
V. How does profit sharing work for "Gold-Selected Smart Invest"?
"Gold-Selected Smart Invest" employs a distinct performance-based profit sharing and high-water mark mechanism.
The system executes profit sharing only when both of the following conditions are met:
1. The scheduled settlement time is reached, or an event-based settlement is triggered;
2. The strategy's cumulative profit exceeds the historical high-water mark, generating new shareable profit.
Profit sharing on the new profit exceeding the high-water mark occurs only when both conditions are met simultaneously.
If the settlement time is reached but the strategy profit has not exceeded the high-water mark, the system will not charge a performance-based profit share.
1. What is a high-water mark?
The "high-water mark" represents the highest profit level achieved by the strategy that has already been subject to profit sharing.
Simply put:
Profit sharing applies only to the portion of profit that exceeds the previous historical high.
If the strategy experiences a drawdown after generating profit and subsequently recovers to the previous high, no profit sharing is charged during the recovery phase. Profit sharing is applied only when the profit reaches a new high, specifically on the amount exceeding the previous peak.
2. High-water mark calculation example
Assumptions:
- Initial investment amount: 10,000 USDT;
- Total profit-sharing ratio: 30%;
- Initial historical high profit: 0 USDT.
At the first settlement, the cumulative profit is 1,000 USDT; the profit share is:
1,000 × 30% = 300 USDT
Subsequently, the strategy experiences a drawdown, and the cumulative profit drops to 500 ...USDT, then rebounds to 900 USDT. Since it has not yet surpassed the previous high of 1,000 USDT, no further profit sharing occurs.
When the cumulative profit rises to 1,200 USDT, only the 200 USDT exceeding the previous high counts as new distributable profit:
200 × 30% = 60 USDT
Therefore, only 60 USDT is charged as a profit share in this instance.
3. Does increasing the investment amount raise the high-water mark?
No.
The additional investment amount is classified as principal rather than strategy earnings; it does not directly generate profit sharing, nor is it treated as new profit.
For example, if a user increases their investment from 10,000 USDT to 15,000 USDT, the additional 5,000 USDT is counted only as principal and does not alter the accumulated earnings already generated.
4. What is the profit-sharing ratio for "Premium Smart Invest"?
The total profit-sharing ratio for Premium Smart Invest ranges from 0% to a maximum of 30%. The actual ratio is subject to the details displayed on the strategy page.
Taking a total profit-sharing ratio of 30% as an example, the distribution might be:
Strategy Provider: 15%;
Referrer: Up to 10%;
CoinW Platform: 5%;
Following User: Retains 70% of the distributable profit.
The above is merely an example of distribution; not all Premium Smart Invest strategies use the same ratios.
5. When does settlement occur for Premium Smart Invest?
Premium Smart Invest supports both periodic and event-based settlement.
Periodic settlement times may be:
Every Monday at 19:00 (UTC+8) or the beginning of the month at 19:00 (UTC+8).
Different strategies may employ different cycles; please refer to the strategy details page for specific information.
The following actions may trigger an event-based settlement:
User reduces the investment amount;
User manually terminates the strategy;
Strategy triggers take-profit or stop-loss;
Other situations requiring the release of strategy funds.
Triggering a settlement does not necessarily mean a profit share will be charged. The system only deducts a profit share on new profits when the strategy's returns exceed the previous high-water mark.
VI. What is referral profit sharing?
Referral profit sharing refers to the process where a user invites others to follow a strategy using an exclusive link or poster. Once a referral is successful and the referred user generates qualifying profits, the referrer receives a corresponding referral reward.
The referral profit-sharing ratio is subject to the rates displayed on the [Referral Profit Sharing] page and the strategy card.
Referral profit sharing is not deducted directly from the referred user's principal.
VIII. What constitutes a successful referral?
A successful strategy referral requires meeting all the following conditions:
1. The referrer shares the strategy's exclusive link or poster;
2. The referred user accesses the strategy page via that link;
3. The referred user copies the corresponding strategy within 30 days of clicking the link;
4. The referred user has not previously followed that strategy.
If the referred user has already followed the strategy prior to clicking the link, the share event will not count as a successful referral.
IX. When is the referral profit share distributed?
The actual timing of the referral profit share depends on the type of strategy followed by the referred user.
Spot Grid, Futures Grid, and Futures Martingale
When a referred user's strategy stops and there is distributable profit at the time of stopping, the system calculates the reward based on the referral profit-sharing ratio displayed on the page.
Premium Smart Invest
The following conditions must be met simultaneously:
The strategy triggers a periodic or event-based settlement;
Strategy returns exceed the high-water mark;
The referred user generates new distributable profit.
Referrers can view estimated earnings, actual profit-sharing, and distribution records via the strategy referral dashboard. Estimated earnings on the dashboard are calculated daily at 00:00 (UTC+8); the final figures are subject to account statements.
X. Is the strategy referral relationship the same as the platform invitation relationship?
No.
The strategy referral relationship and the CoinW account invitation relationship are two independent commission rebate systems; their attribution methods, settlement rules, and rebate logic do not affect each other.
Even if the referred user is not linked to the referrer via the CoinW account invitation relationship, a strategy referral is still considered successful if the following conditions are met:
The user accesses the platform via the exclusive strategy link;
The user copies the strategy within 30 days of clicking the link;
The user has not previously followed this strategy.
XI. FAQ
1. Do all strategies use the high-water mark profit-sharing model?
No.
Only Premium Smart Invest uses the high-water mark mechanism. For Spot Grid, Futures Grid, and Futures Martingale, profit-sharing is calculated based on the strategy's total return at the moment the strategy stops.
2. Is profit sharing for Spot Grid based only on realized grid profits?
No.
Profit sharing for Spot Grid is calculated based on the total return at the time the strategy stops, not just on realized grid profits.
3. Is profit sharing conducted periodically while Grid or Martingale strategies are running?
No.
Profit sharing for Spot Grid, Futures Grid, and Futures Martingale strategies is typically settled in a lump sum when the strategy stops.
4. If a follower stops the strategy early, is profit sharing still required?
It depends on the actual return at the time of stopping.
If the total strategy return is greater than zero at the time of stopping, the system settles profit sharing based on the ratio displayed on the page; if the total return is zero or negative, no profit sharing is charged.
5. If the strategy creator stops the strategy, will the following strategies also stop?
Yes. Once the strategy creator stops the original strategy, the corresponding following strategies will also stop and undergo settlement in accordance with system rules.
6. Is profit sharing always charged when "Smart Invest" (Gold Selection) makes a profit?
No.
Profit sharing on new profits exceeding the high-water mark occurs only when a settlement is triggered and the return surpasses that high-water mark.
7. If "Smart Invest" (Gold Selection) rises again after a drawdown, is profit sharing charged repeatedly?
No.
Profit sharing is not charged repeatedly if the return merely recovers to the previous historical high; only the portion exceeding the original historical high return is subject to profit sharing.
8. Is an increase in investment amount treated as profit?
No. Additional investments are classified as principal rather than strategy profits and do not directly generate profit-sharing.
9. After the referral link is shared, within what timeframe must the friend copy the strategy for the referral to count as successful?
The friend must copy the corresponding strategy within 30 days of clicking the exclusive strategy link.
If the friend has previously followed the strategy, the referral will not be counted as successful.
10. Can the referrer view the referred user's assets?
No.
Referrers can only view the number of successful referrals, the number of times the strategy was copied, and profit-sharing records; they cannot view the referred user's specific investment amounts or account assets.
11. How can the referrer verify profit-sharing?
Referrers can view referral status, profit-sharing ratios, estimated earnings, actual profit-sharing, and distribution records via the strategy referral dashboard. Final amounts are subject to account statements and system settlement records.
Risk Warning
Strategy trading involves tools that execute trades automatically based on preset rules; this does not imply any guarantee of profit by the platform.
Before copying a strategy, users should fully understand its operating logic, profit-sharing ratio, historical drawdown, and potential risks. Futures Grid and Futures Martingale strategies involve leverage; significant market volatility may result in substantial losses, and in extreme cases, the entire strategy margin could be lost.
Historical strategy data, yields, and examples are provided for illustrative purposes only and do not represent future performance or a guarantee of returns.
