Sign (SIGN) Project Analysis

1. Research Institute Review

Sign's two core products TokenTable (on-chain Goldman Sachs) + Sign Protocol (global proof system), Sign Protocol's on-chain signature program is very practical, can simplify the contract interaction process. Ordinary users don't need to know complex code, so the threshold of operation has been lowered. The next step of the team is to plan a trust-based ecosystem of innovative projects based on Sign Protocol, covering various fields such as RWA (Real World Assets), SocialFi (Social Finance) and DePIN (Decentralized Internet of Things).

2. Recent Surge Point

3. Project Introduction

Sign is an innovative Web3 infrastructure project focused on electronic agreement signing and cross-chain attestation protocols. The project initially started under the name Sign, but according to recent information, its development has expanded to SIGN Protocol, which aims to address the trust and authentication challenges in the Web3 ecosystem.

4. Token Utility

  • Proof Protocol Creation and Validation: The SIGN Protocol is a cross-chain proof protocol that allows users to create and validate proofs on multiple blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana and TON. The $SIGN tokens are used to pay for the associated fees and ensure that information is authentic and trustworthy.

  • Governance Participation: Users holding $SIGN tokens can participate in the governance decisions of the protocol, influencing the direction of the project and future feature upgrades. This provides the community with a sense of participation and control, in line with Web3's decentralized philosophy.

  • Network Security and Incentives: $SIGN tokens may be used to incentivize network participants (e.g., node operators) to ensure the security and efficiency of the protocol. For example, a network of nodes may need to pledge $SIGN tokens to operate, similar to the mechanism used in other PoS blockchains.

  • Ecosystem Development: By incentivizing $SIGN tokens, the Project encourages more users and developers to participate in the ecosystem.

5. Tokenomics

The maximum supply of tokens: 10,000,000,000 SIGN, which will be minted on the main EtherNet and distributed through the BNB Chain and Base. The specific token distribution ratio is as follows:

  • 40% of the token distribution will be allocated to community incentives (10% of which will be TGE airdrops, 30% of which will be community rewards and future airdrops.) 20% to Backers, 10% to Early Team Members, 10% to Ecosystem, 20% to Foundation, 12% to Core Contributors, 3.5% to Liquidity Incentive, 2% to Compliance Budget, 2% to Operations Budget, and 0.5% to Donations.

6. Team

Yan Xin is the co-founder and CEO of EthSign. Before EthSign, he was writing technical research articles and investing in Web3 infrastructure and the ethereum ecosystem.

Potter Li is a co-founder of EthSign and co-founded EthSign while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics at the University of Southern California, and has also interned at Morgan Stanley and Fundamental Labs.

7. Investors

Sign closed a $12 million seed round led by Coin Labs, Sequoia Capital India and Mirana Ventures in 2022. Other participating organizations include Amber Group, Circle Ventures, NGC Ventures, HashKey Group and Matrixport.
