Futures Grid Trading Tutorial

An Example:

Grid Direction: Long

Lowest Price in Range: 50,000 USDT

Highest Price in Range: 100,000 USDT

Number of Grids: 50

Grid Mode: Arithmetic

Leverage: 2x

Investment Amount: 5,000 USDT

BTC/USDT price at the time of strategy creation: 60,100 USDT

Strategy Operation

Phase One - Initial Orders

The system will first calculate a series of price levels for the strategy, starting from 50,000 USDT and incrementing by 1,000 USDT until it reaches 100,000 USDT (e.g., 50,000 USDT, 51,000 USDT, 52,000 USDT, and so on up to 100,000 USDT). Based on these levels, the system will place buy orders with 2x leverage at each price point.

If market depth is sufficient, buy orders placed above the current market price (around 60,100 USDT) will be triggered. Following this, the system will automatically set corresponding sell orders at the next higher price level to close the positions.

As a result, once the strategy is activated, the order book will reflect:

  • Opening buy orders at every price level from 50,000 to 60,000 USDT.
  • Closing sell orders at every price level from 62,000 to 100,000 USDT.

Phase Two - Strategy Operation

If the market price falls below 60,000 USDT, the buy order at that level will be executed. In response, the system will automatically place a sell order at the next higher price level (61,000 USDT) within the small grid range of 60,000–61,000 USDT.

Conversely, if the price rises after the sell order is filled, a new buy order will be placed at the next lower price level.

By continuously placing and executing orders in response to market fluctuations, the strategy enables you to profit from the volatility, particularly in a sideways market.
