Fraxtal is a modular Rollup blockchain (Layer 2, L2) featuring a “fractal scaling” roadmap and offering both common and innovative functionalities:Fraxtal is an EVM-equivalent Rollup that uses the OP Stack as its smart contract platform and execution environment. The speed, security, and cost of deploying applications on Fraxtal are comparable to leading Ethereum Rollups such as Optimism and Base. Fraxtal is a modular Rollup. It will include multiple components and middleware for use by other chains and networks, enabling connections, deployments of Layer 3 (L3) networks, and building on top of them. Currently, Fraxtal uses an independent data availability module developed by the Frax core team. Fraxtal introduces a blockspace incentive mechanism called Flox. Users and developers can earn rewards simply by consuming gas on the network or calling any smart contract. In each cycle, users who consume gas and developers whose contracts are called will receive FXTL points, which can be redeemed for tokens in the future. The rewards users earn may exceed the actual gas they consume, and developers also have the opportunity to earn more than the gas their dApps consume. The network’s native gas token is FRAX, issued by Frax Finance.
